The Revitalization of Vero Beach’s Downtown and Arts District
Only just a few years ago, if you had driven down Vero Beach’s Downtown and Arts District on 14th avenue on a Saturday night, you might not have seen many people roaming the streets. Today, you can barely find a parking spot.
The rise of restaurants and bars in the area has drawn many of the locals from all corners of the community to gather at this thriving social scene. Restaurants like Blue Agave, Kilted Mermaid and Blue Star have given our Vero Beach natives a variety of both food and drinks all within just a few blocks of each other.
The art scene is also thriving. The First Friday Gallery Stroll is a popular event where patrons can visit each of the galleries in the area. Those feeling the need to get more hands on can visit Paint on the Vine and create some art of your own while sipping a cocktail!
Downtown Vero Beach has become quite the destination spot for locals and tourists, and I am excited to see where the momentum will take the area.
